GROUPE SEFMAT’S CSR INITIATIVES: A CONCRETE COMMITMENT TOWARDS A MORE RESPONSIBLE INDUSTRY

Through its Ripacycle programme and a structured CSR policy, the GROUPE SEFMAT demonstrates that an industrial player can combine performance, environmental responsibility, and social commitment. SEFMAT is fully engaged in a circular economy approach, waste reduction, and respect for all stakeholders.
A circular programme at the heart of industry: RIPACYCLE
Launched in 2025, RIPACYCLE is a free recycling and reconditioning service for used shrink guns, available throughout the Eurozone. This unique programme allows users to easily return their old equipment, regardless of brand. Functional parts are dismantled and reused in second-hand devices, while unusable components are redirected to partner recycling channels, favouring short supply chains.
RIPACYCLE aims to significantly reduce industrial waste while raising professional awareness of the importance of recycling and reuse. The scheme is designed to be incentive-based: each equipment return offers the user a choice between a €100 voucher, a donation of equivalent value to a selected environmental charity, or the purchase of a refurbished shrink gun. This hands-on approach aligns with SEFMAT’s values and its ambition to foster a more responsible industry.
A structured environmental policy
Beyond Ripacycle, SEFMAT is actively committed to ecological transition. The company is a shareholder in Team for the Planet, an impact-driven initiative contributing to carbon footprint reduction, with an estimated 20 tonnes of CO₂ avoided in 2023. It also owns 85 trees through its partnership with Ecotree, strengthening its reforestation efforts.
Employees are encouraged to adopt low-impact mobility through dedicated incentives and free access to electric vehicle charging points. Additionally, SEFMAT has reformed its raw material purchasing processes to eliminate problematic metals and is a member of ZIRI, an ethical purchasing consortium focused on the green economy.
Waste management is strictly regulated through partnerships with specialised organisations such as Brangeon, Clickeco, and Eco Mégot. All waste streams are covered, from cardboard and aluminium to plastics, printer cartridges, cigarette butts and aerosols.
A strong social and societal dimension
SEFMAT’s commitment goes beyond the environment. The company also leads numerous actions with a human and local focus. It is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and takes concrete steps towards inclusion, solidarity, and quality of life at work. Partnerships with ESATs support green space maintenance and product procurement, while employees with disabilities are integrated in collaboration with the Don Bosco Institute.
The company supports several local causes, including the loan of logistical equipment to charities such as Robin des Rues, and the collection of cork and plastic bottle tops for the benefit of the Bergonié Institute. Every year, it also organises solidarity sports challenges as part of Pink October, combining workplace wellbeing with support for medical research.
The human aspect is also reflected in daily working life: profit-sharing, partial health insurance coverage, childcare assistance, an on-site gym and pétanque court, and various collective and cultural activities. Everything is done to create a stimulating, supportive, and sustainable working environment.

For over a century, SEFMAT has been designing and distributing its equipment in more than 100 countries. Sustainability is embedded from the design stage: some products are guaranteed for up to ten years and are developed to be upgradable and repairable rather than disposable, locally manufactured, with energy autonomy at each production workstation.
