What is your shrink gun recycling and reconditioning service?

Customers can send back their old shrink guns. Each device is sorted: reusable parts are cleaned and installed in reconditioned guns, while end-of-life components are recycled in accordance with environmental standards.

Can I order a shrink gun if I am not a professional?

No, Ripack shrink guns are reserved for packaging professionals (B2B). Any company using shrink guns can benefit from our recycling/reconditioning offer.

Why did you launch this service?

We aim to reduce our environmental impact and promote the circular economy. Recycling and reconditioning prevent waste and allow customers to save money or support a charity.

How to Return a Used Shrink Gun

What should I return with my old shrink gun?

The complete shrink gun, including the regulator and hose.

How do I return my old shrink gun?

Fill out the form on our website to receive a shipping label.

Who covers the shipping costs?

Sefmat covers both the return and delivery shipping costs.

What happens after I send my shrink gun?

Once received in our workshop, we perform an assessment. Based on your reward choice, you’ll receive your voucher by email.

Do I need to clean or disassemble the shrink gun?

No need to clean or disassemble it before shipping.

Is there a limit to how many guns I can return?

No, you can return one or multiple shrink guns as you wish.

What models can I return?

We accept all shrink gun models, including non-Ripack brands, as long as they are gas-powered and used for heating LDPE shrink film (not torches or electric guns).

Can I return other products?

Currently, the program is limited to shrink guns.

Recycling and Reconditioning Process

Where are the shrink guns reconditioned?

In Ripack’s own workshops, without intermediaries.

What do you do with received shrink guns?

We perform a full diagnostic. Good parts are cleaned and reused; damaged ones are recycled via specialized channels.

How do you guarantee quality?

Every reconditioned shrink gun undergoes full quality control, including safety and performance tests. Wear parts like piezo igniters and gas circuit are always replaced with new original parts.

Can I see the condition of the shrink gun I’ll buy?

Yes, they are classified in three grades (A, B, C), and photographed from multiple angles.

Donation or Voucher Choice

What does the donation option involve?

Instead of a €100 voucher, you can donate €100 to an environmental charity partner.

How is the donation processed?

The €100 is transferred directly to the selected association “Team for the Planet”.

How does the voucher work?

You’ll receive a code valid only for the purchase of a new shrink gun.

I didn’t receive my voucher, what should I do?

Please contact us via our website’s contact form.

How long is the voucher valid?

The €100 voucher is valid for 1 year.

Buying a New or Reconditioned Shrink Gun

What’s the difference between new and reconditioned shrink guns?

Reconditioned shrink guns are second-hand, with used parts replaced and full factory testing. They may have slight cosmetic wear. New heat guns are factory-fresh.

Are reconditioned heat guns cheaper?

Yes, they’re sold at a lower price while offering reliable performance.

What warranty is offered on reconditioned shrink guns?

1-year warranty on parts and labor.

What warranty for new shrink guns?

2 years for R2100 and R2500, 10 years for R3000 and R3000+.

Can I buy other products on Ripacycle?

Only shrink guns (new or reconditioned). For other Ripack products, contact your usual distributor.

What do the grades mean?

  • Grade A = Very good condition: this includes plastic parts + body + nozzle in very good condition and a new regulator
  • Grade B = Good condition: this includes plastic parts + body + nozzle in very good condition and a reconditioned regulator
  • Fair condition: this includes plastic parts + body + nozzle in good condition and a reconditioned regulator

Who to contact for a reconditioned gun issue?

A reconditioned product is monitored in a similar way to a new product, with a technical team able to diagnose and resolve faults quickly. Contact your usual Ripack dealer/repairer for diagnosis and spare parts.
