We’ve developed a patented “cold nozzle” technology, integrated into our guns to prevent any risk of contact burns. Our SÉCURIPACK regulators with double safety also ensure optimal protection for operators.

Our quality commitment is directly linked to product safety. To meet these high standards, we comply with the strictest international certifications: UL, ULc, DVGW, and CE.

The robustness of our equipment is also reflected in extended warranties, from 1 to 10 years depending on the product and brand. This reliability results from rigorous work at every stage of design and production.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

A Message from our Director, Julien Marigot

Can we continue to grow our businesses without integrating a coherent sustainable development strategy? Personally, I no longer believe so. Thanks to my peers at CJD (Young Leaders Center), this awareness became obvious to me.

Giving meaning to our actions and aligning our business model with our values is essential. How can we continue making personal sustainability efforts without reflecting them in the workplace, where impact is greater?

At SEFMAT, we’ve chosen to take action—without greenwashing. We progress step-by-step, with concrete, employee-aligned actions.

We are also rethinking our development model. With every product or service launch, we now consider a key criterion: environmental impact. We’ve introduced a “green veto” as a filter in our decision-making.

Recognizing that some of our resources still rely on polluting models, we’ve decided to redistribute part of them to responsible projects. That’s why we’ve invested in Team for the Planet, a nonprofit funding companies that fight climate change on a global scale.

This choice doesn’t absolve us. It strengthens our desire to develop in a coherent and sustainable way.

Rippes workshops,
innovation at the heart
of development

Since its creation in 1922, RIPPES workshops have specialised in the design of welding equipment and based their success on innovation. Numerous patents were filed, leading to the arrival on the market of safer products that consumed less gas.

Around 1975, the idea emerged and developed of covering palletised loads with heat-shrinkable plastic covers to stabilise the load and protect it from the weather and theft. The mastery of flame control resulting from this long-standing expertise led to the creation of SEFMAT and its RIPACK brand.

Entering the world
of shrink film

SEFMAT will be one of the first manufacturers to develop a gas-powered “gun” designed to shrink these heat-shrinkable covers using the heat generated by hot air. From the outset, SEFMAT has focused on innovation in equipment safety and reliability.

The “cold nozzle” patent, which eliminates any risk of burns on contact, has enabled the RIPACK brand to become the world leader in this market.

SEFMAT quickly found outlets for the RIPACK range all over the world. Now covering more than 140 countries, the RIPACK network is the densest on the market.

2006

A range of extensions
unique in the world

Ripack is the first brand to develop a “combo” extension system. This system allows two extensions to be fitted together without tools to form a longer one. Thanks to this development, our brand has established itself in the world of boat winter storage and the protection of industrial goods using shrink wrap.

2012

Innovating for the customer

In 2012, the Ripack 3000 model was developed. It will include a quick igniter change system (no tools required) with on-board spare parts. This revolution allows the customer to change his piezo igniter in a few seconds, even during an outdoor work site.

2021

Expanding the range

Ripack2100 and Ripack2500 shrink guns launch. The Ripack 2500 is the lightest gun in its category. The Ripack2100 is ideal for occasional use.
